The Power of One
The Power of One A nonfiction book by Bryce Courtenay describes a young white boy that is living in Africa during world war11 and his life ups and downs from one year old to 21. Pk is his name and he lives on a farm with his nanny and mom working. He wanted to be the champion of the world in boxing and be undefeated. But his Aunt died his mom got taken away so he had to go to boarding school and there were all on the German side but not him so everyone wood pee on him and many more things like that .So he had to adapt to it and now matter what they did he never cried so they would get bored and stop after an hour and pretending to be dum.
One thing that I like is that it never goes five years from now. I also like that there's so much detail and all the background on the charter's life. Also that it is realistic and the story has lots of ups and downs. Another thing that I like is that it always has something happening to him, good or bad.
Good job, Dublin. Was there a lesson that you learned from this book. It sounds interesting. Keep reading! :)
