The Popsicle Stick Bridge
The Popsicle Stick Bridge
“The Popsicle Stick Bridge '', a short story by Marlon Fenn, describes the popsicle stick challenge of working with a partner that Cassandra not like. Cassandra is in 4th grade and shy judges people like Robert . Cassandra wants to make friends and sit with the other girls. However, the new girl has taken her spot. She's super shy so she cannot make friends. Then she partnered up with Robert and realized Robert wasn't so bad. Also they became friends and she did not want to sit at the girls table anymore because she made a new friend.
“The Popsicle Stick Bridge” is a great short story and I have a few thoughts on it. Cassandra’s opinion changes from the beginning. Cassandra was sorted with Robert and she quickly realized he was smart and kind. A lesson I learned from this book is don't judge a book by its cover. Because Robert didn't have many friends and still had good traits like being kind and smart. Obviously possible stick challenge has some very good lessons Including like don't judge a book by its cover like when Cassandra judge Robert because he had food on his face.
