Banner in the sky by James Ramsey Ullman describes the challenges of Rudy Mats problems to get to the top of the Citadel. Sixteen year old rooting Matt dreams of climbing the Citadel, the  mountain his dad died on trying to reach the summit. Only one problem was his mom wouldn't let him go to the mountains, after his father's death and wherever he went his uncle was always making sure he wasn't up in the mountains. How Rudy got up into the mountains is he would sneak away from work the one time his uncle wasn't watching him and would go off to the mountains why he got to return to the mountains you will have to figure out and see yourself.

One thing I like about this book is that he chooses someone else's life over his dream. I also like  the Cliffhangers in this book because It could end in so many different ways. The other thing that I like about it is that it's not just a great climbing book, it also has a great lesson.
