 Roy, the main character in Hoot, has some interesting character traits. One character trait is that he is brave. For  example, he  punched the  bully and stood in a pile of snakes. Next, Roy is committed. For example, he chased   the kid  across the golf course when people were golfing. Furthermore, Roy is still interested in finding the mystery kid even though he got surrounded by snakes. Lastly, he is smart. For  instance, he has all A pluses in school. Also, Roy figured out that the kid in the forest either was skipping classes or was an outlaw. Obviously I learned a lot about Roy.
